We are now north west of Whyalla where the steel story began in a iron ore mine at Iron Knob (still very much a working mine. The township of Iron Knob on the other hand is almost a ghost town because works are now FIFO.) ...

With time up our sleave we decide to make a detour to see the "Mightnight Oil House" just outside Burra before we check-in at Clare...

We were expecting Burra the towm itself to be just like a 100 other country towns. Boy were we wrong. First we visited the old copper mine that built Burra. So photogenic. We were very impressed...

Clare - Maggie Beers Farmshop - Port Adelaide

Today we off to stay overnight at Port Adelaide. We have the motorhome booked for 7.30am wheel alignment. On the way we travel across the Clare valley, over to Kapunda and onto Maggie Beers Farmshop...

It is still dark when we drop the motorhome off for the wheel alignment. After that we travel to Hahndorf to stock up at Otto's Bakery and Beerenberg Farm Shop...
