Day 15 - 18th Feb
Robe.
Robe is an old fishing holiday mecca that is rapidly undergoing gentrification. This renewal is being lead by sourdough bakers, pastry chefs and an italian woodfired pizzeria. Robe is definitely on the revisit list...
Some of the pastry haul. Much more was eaten before it could be photogaphed…
Pizza almost as good the one we had in Portland last trip. We are calling it the second best pizza in Australia…

Meningie - Lake_Albert.
Bird watching/photographing day today with a drive around the shores of Lake_Albert and a peek into The_Coorong. No luck with The_Coorong though because the water level is so low the shore and water birds are about a kilometer from the viewing areas.

Today is set to be a scorcher. Mid 40s they say. So we are off early to visit Victor Harbor (that's right no "u" in harbor) and the scenic Granite Island.

Victor Harbor from Granite Island…
Horse_Drawn_Tramway back in the day used to transport goods from the port on Granite Island but now it just takes tourists on a super expensive trip along the jetty to and from the island…
Pacific Gulls are everywhere in the south. This is a particularly nice shot…
An action shot of a kayak cruising by in the shallow, tranquil waters beside the jetty…
